LIFE'S SACRED MOMENTS

Every milestone deserves more than a ceremony. It deserves a moment.

There are moments in life that change everything

A new baby. A child becoming an adult. A first haircut. A marriage. A loss. A memory you return to every year.

These are the moments when something transforms — when you cross a threshold and the person on the other side is different than the one who walked in.

And here's what I feel like most people don't say out loud — the standard model for these moments, even in amazing communities, can feel... quick. To the point. You check the boxes, you say the words, and it's done. But did it land? Did your child actually feel something shift inside them at their bar mitzvah? Did your birthday feel connected to anything bigger than cake?

That's what we do differently at The Shabbat Club.

We take these sacred moments and bring them into a more personalized, creative space. Still rooted in Jewish wisdom — deeply rooted, actually — but shaped around you. Your family. Your story. The specific moment you're living in right now.

What This Actually Looks Like

This isn't a standard service package. It's a conversation that becomes something beautiful.

A Bar/ Bat mitzvah? Maybe we organize a song circle. Maybe we build a meaningful class around what this particular child is stepping into. Maybe it's an embodied practice that helps them actually feel the threshold they're crossing.

A birthday? Let's talk about the age you're turning and what Jewish wisdom has to say about it. Let's find ways to weave that into your celebration so it means something beyond the party.

A new baby? A first haircut? A wedding? Let's figure out together what this moment needs — not what the template says, but what your family actually needs to feel it fully.

Every life cycle moment at The Shabbat Club is different. Because every family is different. Because every moment is different.

Moments We Hold Space For

Brit Milah & Baby Naming
Welcome your newest family member into the community with intention, joy, and blessing. Whether it's a traditional Brit Milah, a Simchat Bat, or a non-traditional baby naming, we'll help you craft a ceremony that feels like your family — not a script someone handed you. Think personalized blessings, family candle lighting, or a community circle where loved ones speak life over your little one.
Upsherenish (First Haircut)
Mark this tender milestone the way it deserves — with presence, meaning, and celebration. This is more than a haircut. It's a moment of transition, and it should feel like one. We can create a ceremony with songs, blessings from family and friends, or a meaningful ritual where each person takes a small cut — turning a simple tradition into a memory your family holds onto forever.
Birthdays
Celebrate another year of life in a space that connects it to something deeper than candles on a cake. Whether it's a child's birthday or an elder's milestone, we can weave in reflection, gratitude, and community. Think a birthday blessing circle, a year-in-review ritual where loved ones share what they've witnessed in you, or a candle lighting ceremony that marks each year with intention.
B'nai Mitzvah (Bar & Bat Mitzvah)
A song circle. A meaningful class. An embodied practice. Whatever helps your child actually feel the transformation they're stepping into. This isn't about performing for a crowd — it's about stepping into responsibility and identity in a way that sticks. We can offer a mentorship circle, a nature-based coming-of-age ritual, or a creative Torah exploration that meets your child exactly where they are.
Weddings & Marriage Celebrations
Say your vows surrounded by warmth, tradition, and people who mean it when they say mazel tov. Whether you want a full traditional ceremony or something you've built from the ground up, we're here for it. We can help with a personalized chuppah ceremony, community blessings where your people speak over your marriage, or a Shabbat dinner celebration the night before that gathers your closest circle.
Yahrzeit & Memorial Observances
Honor the ones you carry with you. Light a candle. Say their name. Be held by community while you do it. Grief isn't meant to be carried alone, and remembrance doesn't have to feel heavy to be sacred. We can hold space for a candle lighting and storytelling circle, a communal Kaddish with people who care, or a yearly remembrance gathering that becomes a tradition your family looks forward to instead of dreads.
Something Else Entirely
If it matters to you, it matters to us. Conversions, anniversaries, healing rituals, new home blessings, milestone moments that don't have a name yet — if you feel it deserves to be marked, we'll help you figure out how. Let's talk.

How This Is Different

A synagogue gives you a ceremony. We give you an experience.

That's not a knock on synagogues — they're doing important work. But what we offer lives in a different space. It's still deeply rooted in Jewish wisdom and tradition, but we're taking it somewhere more personal. More creative. More felt.

"What do you actually want this moment to feel like?"

And then we build it together.

How This Works

This isn't a rental. It's a relationship.

When you reach out, we'll talk. We'll learn about your moment — what it means to you, what you're hoping it feels like, what traditions matter and what you want to make new. Then we'll figure out together how The Shabbat Club can hold that space for you.

Step 1: Fill out the form below — tell us about your moment. Step 2: We'll reach out to have a real conversation. Step 3: We'll build it together.

No packages. No templates. Just people who care about making your moment feel exactly the way it should.
